April fools day...

  April fools day is a fun day in the Duffner house.  The kids get into it as much as I do!  Here is the list of Ella's favorite jokes....  I am sure her teachers will be sick of them by the end of the day.  I hope you find inspiration in them for your little ones!

Happy Birthday Baby Braeden

 

Today is my baby’s birthday.  He is refusing to turn 4.  He is telling everyone he is “3 again”.  He is constantly telling me “ I don’t want to grow up” in the cutest baby voice.  When I ask him if he is ready to be a big brother he changes the subject.   He is not sure about a new baby coming into his life.  Today is his big day.  He is turning 3 again!  His birthday bash is Star Wars.  I have some fun party ideas up my sleeve; I hope everyone enjoys the day.  His party is in a few days.  Remembering his birth is something I will never forget.  It was the most peaceful calming day.  The doctors even had to wake me up to deliver him.  After 26 hours of delivery (with an epidural of course) he changed my life forever!  Happy birthday baby Braeden… I love you, Mommy

Happy Saint Patrick's Day

  Happy Saint Patrick's Day! Enjoy a cocktail version of a root beer float: vanilla ice cream topped with Irish stout. 20 Weeks...

  We are now officially 20 weeks along.  We are all very excited around here putting up baby boy clothes in the closet, buying some very adorable things that he will need (like size 1 baby shoes) and I have signed up for my next quilting class.  I am excited to get started on a new quilt for our new addition.  Buying the fabric is my favorite part J.  Will share my findings as well as the progress of the quilt as soon as it gets going!  Thanks for all your kind wishes and baby boy names.  I think we have a “keeper” name but if you hear of a great name please share… We were looking at the baby name book at the hospital with Quinn.

Take a Break...

  This is my absolute favorite cookie in the entire world.  It is a pumpkin chocolate chip drop cookie.  Today it is a raining day in sunny southern California.  I wanted to share this recipe with you all in hopes to inspire you to take a break and enjoy a hot cookie and some milk.  Debbi makes these cookies for me when I baby-sit or just because often and I love them.  I have asked her for the recipe so that I can share it all with you… I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

1 can pumpkin

1 spice cake mix

1 bag choc chips.

Mix together until all lumps are gone. Bake at 350 for 15 min.
